Sterling Medical, the parent company of Sterling Urgent Care, with locations in Idaho, Utah, and Wyoming, has been named one of the Top 10 Corporate Wellness Services Companies of 2022 by Manage HR Magazine. The award recognizes 10 companies selected annually by Manage HR Magazine, “…that are at the forefront of tackling customer challenges.”

In presenting the award, Manage HR noted that Sterling Medical enables employers to provide quality, affordable care for their workers and managed Occupational Health and Worker’s Compensation services. The magazine noted that Sterling Medical has helped its employer partners save more than $120 million in direct dollar-for-dollar healthcare costs.

“We are honored to earn this recognition for our efforts to transform health care and enable business owners to improve their workers’ lives by making health care simpler and more affordable,” said Sterling Medical Chief Executive Officer Scott Brown. “We are doing something different with Sterling Medical, because we believe that workers deserve convenient access to the care they need, and because we know that collective buying power can control costs.”

Founded in 2012, Sterling Medical was created to remove barriers to health care for employers and employees by providing fully managed Occupational Health services and an employee benefit program that bridges the gap between high-deductible insurance plans and everyday health needs. Through the Sterling Membership program, employees gain unlimited, free access to providers and significant discounts on non-emergency care.

Sterling Medical expanded its operations with Sterling Urgent Care walk-in clinics that provide on-site X-Rays, lab services, and adult and pediatric health care. The first clinic opened in Idaho Falls in 2013. Today, Sterling Urgent Care has 14 locations in Idaho, Utah, and Wyoming. The innovative Sterling Membership program has expanded beyond employee benefits, allowing individuals or families to enroll and take advantage of lower healthcare costs.

“Every individual or employee who signs up for a Sterling Membership brings us closer to our goal of reducing health care costs while making sure people get the care they need,” Brown said. “Through collective buying power, we can manage the costs of procedures and prescriptions while removing the cost barrier that keeps many people from getting the care they need.”
